Database Browser
Inspect tables, schemas, and row data across SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
Database Browser
The Database Browser gives you a visual interface to explore your database — tables, views, column schemas, constraints, and row data — without leaving your development environment.
Supported Databases
| Database | Driver Package | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| SQLite | better-sqlite3 | Read-only file connection |
| PostgreSQL | pg | Connection via DATABASE_URL |
| MySQL / MariaDB | mysql2 | Connection via DATABASE_URL |
Table List
The left sidebar shows all tables and views in your database. Each entry shows:
- Table or view name (monospace font)
- Row count
Click any table name to load its schema and data.
Schema Inspector
The schema panel shows every column in the selected table:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
# | Column index |
| Column Name | With 🔑 icon for primary keys |
| Data Type | SQLite type, PostgreSQL type, or MySQL type |
| Constraints | PRIMARY KEY, UNIQUE, NOT NULL, NULLABLE badges |
| Default | Default value expression or — if none |
Example for a users table:
Data Grid
Below the schema, the data grid shows paginated row data.
Cell Formatting
| Value | Display |
|---|---|
NULL | Italic grey NULL label |
true / false | Green true or red false |
| Numbers | Blue monospace |
| Dates | Teal monospace |
| Long strings | Truncated at 80 chars with … |
Pagination
The data grid paginates at 50 rows per page. Navigation controls appear at the bottom:
Click page numbers or arrows to navigate.
Search and Filter
Use the Filter tables input at the top of the sidebar to search table names. The list updates instantly as you type.
Export CSV
Click the Export CSV button in the data card header to download the current page of data as a .csv file.
Views
Database views appear in the table list with a VIEW badge instead of TABLE. They are queryable in the same way as tables.
Indexes
Click the Indexes sub-tab at the top of the Database panel to see all indexes:
| Index Name | Table | Columns | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
idx_users_email | users | (email) | UNIQUE |
idx_posts_author | posts | (author_id) | INDEX |
Info
Index data is available for PostgreSQL and MySQL. SQLite index introspection is limited to what PRAGMA index_list returns.
